Watch: Kaliné’s Beautiful Mashup Of Burna Boy’s ‘Pree Me’ And Drake’s ‘One Dance’

A month ago, the supremely talented singer-songwriter, pianist and composer, Kaliné, blessed us all with her brilliantly soulful rendition of Olamide’s “Shakiti Bobo”  – and she graciously promised us more. The gifted singer kept her word, and is premiering exclusively on Konbini, another amazing cover of two of 2016’s best songs, Drake and Wizkid’s “One Dance” and Burna Boy’s “Pree Me”.
Like her “Shakiti Bobo” cover, this mashup was part of The Beetle Sessions – A collaboration with British artist, Polly Alakija, that involves cover songs arranged, produced and recorded by Kaliné and performed in an old vintage VW Beetle painted by Alakija.
Speaking with Konbini about why she decided to mashup these very different songs together, Kaliné said:

“I love these songs. I wanted to string two songs together that would seem unlikely. Burna’s track is still pretty new and ‘One Dance’ is still in the charts after so many months.
Both songs have awesome melodies too so arranging them in a different style that was cohesive was of course really fun to do.”
